PauseAI Romania at The Pro-Human Assembly 2026
PauseAI Romania was present in Washington D.C., at The Pro-Human Assembly 2026, one of this year’s most important international gatherings on the future of artificial intelligence. We were there to bring the voice of Romania and Eastern Europe into a debate that concerns us all.
The event brought together people from opposing political camps: Senator Bernie Sanders, Steve Bannon, Senator Marsha Blackburn, and Representatives Greg Casar and Chip Roy. They were joined by labor leaders, actors such as Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ashley Judd, religious leaders, and national security experts. All of them delivered the same message: the future of AI cannot be left solely in the hands of a few tech companies.
For us, taking part confirmed that the concerns we raise in Romania’s public debate are shared at the highest level, across party lines. We came home with new ideas, new contacts, and renewed energy for our work here.
